Norwalk resident Marco Rodas, age 27, was arrested at his home on Bayview Avenue on Wednesday morning, Aug. 23 on sexual assault charges, according to Norwalk Police Deputy Chief Terrence Blake.
Rodas' arrest stemmed from a complaint in May 2023 from the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) that detailed the sexual assault of a minor, Blake said.
With help from the DCF, Norwalk Special Victims Unit detectives identified Rodas as the suspect in the assault. An arrest warrant was then issued by the Stamford Superior Court.
Rodas is charged with both first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He was held on a $750,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, Sept. 6.
